O que é?

A fotoaférese extracorpórea consiste num procedimento no qual os linfócitos são separados e segregados do sangue total e submetidos a um tratamento com irradiação Ultravioleta na presença de um medicamento fotosensibilizante chamando 8-methoxypsoraleno.

 

Após esse tratamento os linfócitos são reinfundidos no paciente.

Mecanismo de ação: induzem a apoptose dos linfócitos doentes, imunomodulação das células dendríticas e altera perfil de interleucinas.

Principais indicações

  • Linfoma cutâneo:  Eritroderma Micose Fungoide/ Síndrome de Sézary

  • Doença do enxerto versus hospedeiro, aguda e crônica.

  • Outras mais incomuns: Esclerodermia, rejeição em transplante de pulmão

Procedimento seguro, com baixo risco de complicação para adultos e crianças.
